Stift Klosterneuburg vineyard

LOCATION: Tattendorf in the hot spring region is one of the best wine-growing districts of Austria. Gravel covered by a thin layer of brown soil is the ideal setting for the St. Laurent grape.

GRAPE VARIETY: Originally from France, this variety is now almost exclusive to Austria. The grapes are small to medium in size, shaped oval with thick skin and black-blue in color. This variety demands warm temperatures and low humidity, as it is sensitive to frost and bud failure.

WINE: "Ausstich" means a selection of the best barrels of a vintage. Intense ruby colored, smooth and fruity bouquet, hints of black cherry and forest berries, gentle, velvet finish. A powerful but balanced, harmonic wine with a great future.
